• CEO Richard Lebovitz and VP of Professional Services Harrison Wells were among just 25 “Pros to Know” selected in this category

AUSTIN, Texas — March 20, 2024 — Supply & Demand Chain Executive has honored both Richard Lebovitz, CEO and Founder of LeanDNA, and Harrison Wells, LeanDNA Vice President of Professional Services, with a Pros to Know Lifetime Achievement Award. The two supply chain professionals were among just 25 individuals selected in this category. The Pros to Know award recognizes outstanding executives whose accomplishments offer a roadmap for other leaders looking to leverage the supply chain for competitive advantage.

"Many of today's supply chain pros are more than just leaders within their space; they're innovators, decision-makers, pioneers of change and growth. They've spent the last year (and more) creating safer, more efficient supply chains," says Marina Mayer, editor-in-chief of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “New this year, we broke the award down into four distinct categories: Top Warehousing Stars; Top Procurement Stars; Rising Stars; and Lifetime Achievement. These winners continue to go above and beyond to overcome challenges, advance supply chain management and make the impossible, possible.”

Harrison Wells brings over 20 years of experience managing complex builds for manufacturers in the aerospace, automotive, and commercial vehicle industries. This includes stints with Triumph Group (aerospace), Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems, and Ford Motor Company. He was promoted to Vice President of Professional Services in 2023, after serving as LeanDNA Director of Technical Account Management and Value Engineering for three years. This is the first year that Harrison has received a Pro to Know award.

“Harrison is a high-integrity leader and excels at viewing supply chains from different perspectives and teaching teams to identify and remove hidden costs throughout the value stream,” said Lebovitz. “He is committed to combining his deep supply chain, value engineering, manufacturing, and product development knowledge to eliminate waste in procurement, manufacturing, and design.”

In his leadership role at LeanDNA helping advise global manufacturers, Harrison has ambitious goals over the next year to:

    • Grow and expand professional services offerings to help supply chain leaders fully leverage LeanDNA’s capabilities and eliminate the need for resource-intensive solutions or costly investments in their tech stack
    • Help customers integrate LeanDNA into their daily operations and eliminate ad-hoc custom solutions and reporting
    • Continue to refine and streamline the implementation process to further improve LeanDNA’s best-in-class time to value proposition
    • Expand the data governance team to serve all LeanDNA customers to ensure strategic alignment and the prioritization of evolving data-related needs

Harrison also contributes his insight, learnings, and guidance more broadly to global supply chain professionals as a contributor to industry media publications and events that recently included  CSCMP’s Supply Chain Quarterly, The Manufacturing Executive and Cliff Notes podcasts, the GDS Supply Chain Digital Summit, and as an active LinkedIn forum contributor to the Supply Chain Management Group (SCM) and the Purchasing & Global Supply Chain Professionals groups.

Richard Lebovitz was awarded the singular honor of Pro to Know of the Year in 2021 and was also named a Pro to Know in 2023. Adapting to better meet the evolving supply chain industry needs is a core reason Richard founded LeanDNA in 2014. In recent years, he has specifically worked to address how supply chain disruptions create inventory challenges at the factory level and create advanced solutions to proactively curb shortages and increase on-time delivery. This has translated into giving manufacturers more and better tools to adapt to their global workforce.

“Richard is passionate and unwavering in his commitment to equipping supply chain teams with better means to execute at the factory ‘ground floor’ level - an area often underserved and less supported than others across the supply chain ecosystem,” said Wells. “And he backs up his commitment with action, spending as much of his time as possible out in the market on-site to continuously learn about their evolving needs.”

It's a testament to the positive culture that Richard has helped foster that LeanDNA ranked among the highest-scoring businesses on the Inc. Best Workplaces 2023 list and was recognized by Built In as one of the best startups to work for in Austin, Texas. Supply & Demand Chain Executive awarded LeanDNA with a 2023 Top Software & Tech award in the Procurement/ERP Software category. LeanDNA was also named Industrial Data Solution of the Year in the 2023 Data Breakthrough Awards. In addition, the company earned several award recognitions for its work supporting customers in the supply chain. This included:

    • Carrier won the 2023 NextGen End User Award for Digital Transformation for its partnership with LeanDNA to transform supply chain management. Carrier manages over 600 suppliers and purchases over half a million different components. LeanDNA provided Carrier with complete shortage visibility, allowing it to efficiently manage inventory and enhance on-time delivery metrics.
    • LeanDNA was named a Partner in Collaborative Innovation in the 2023 Manufacturing Leadership Council Awards, recognizing its work with Johnson Controls. LeanDNA enabled Johnson Controls to more deeply connect 40 sites with over 800 suppliers across the globe.
    • LeanDNA, in collaboration with customer Auxitrol Westron, a global aerospace manufacturer, was named a Digital Transformation Award Finalist for the 2023 Supply Chain Excellence Awards.
